Re: Lockman2008's Collection

Thank ya! And yeah, Thats what I have really been getting into the past year or so, anything railroad or with a company logo on it. I have been collecting for quite a number of years. Since I was a kid really, The logo locks I think are the coolest because they are unique. The 2 S&G padlocks take the 101 Key too, I forgot to include that. And I am sure someone will probably ask haha.

Re: Lockman2008's Collection

Thanks for the props guys! it's not near as large as I would like it to be, But all in good time. Jeff I checked out your collection too! You got some nices ones in there. I remember talking to you about the master combination locks I got, I finally hunted down the 3 control keys. I remember the days of seeing them in school and always wanting to have one with a key. Now I got 3.. YAY! haha. I have a few more I will post soon. They are at my local locksmiths shop getting keys made.

Thanks ya! Is that shop still open in your area that has a bunch of padlocks. I am still on an endless pursuit to find me more padlocks with logo's on them. Like Railroad or utility. Mainly American, Wilson Bohannan, Corbin, Best... Ect.

Re: Lockman2008's Collection

Lockman, The heavy American locks that you have on the top right of your table--do you have keys for them as well? The wafer tumbler spring on these locks can be easily removed removed with a hook tool. This is comprised of a scissor spring. Once it is removed, a key jiggler can be used to open the lock. The lock can then be taken apart and the spring can be put back in the cylinder. These locks have a nasty brass side pin that doesn't want to always come out once the set screw is removed.

I like your railroad keys.....

Unfortunately, no. But Dave still has many locks at his house and I still see him every couple weeks.
He's sold quite a few of them on ebay and also brought alot to a different store in a near by town.
He has no BESTs left (worth getting anyway), but American, Corbin, & Railroad locks... maybe.

edit: Oh, and I've already gobbled up all the WB's. lol
