Passed the local video game store today and I saw they had two large wooden display cabinets at the curb for garbage. A closer inspection revealed that each had eight locks on them which I removed.
Does any one know what this retaining clip might be used for?

Any idea what brand they might be?

Retaining clip appears to be for cylinder removal

Olympus Lock 800SC with Schlage C keyway I think. They have the same one's in deadbolt form at my church. Zoom in on the photo here: http://buyaccess.com/olympus-lock-800sc-deadbolt-cabinet-drawer-lock?gdftrk=gdfV22700_a_7c1040_a_7c4922_a_7c800SC and you'll see the same symbol and the same keyway. This is just the deadbolt form.

It looks like a National Cabinet lock to me. Ilco #1069L would be my guess. I am usually pretty good at this stuff :D .

Sweet. It always pays to keep your eyes open on trash day.
