Mark... you can not just drop pics like this without a warning man. Now I have to clean up all of drool. Amazing collection. That American dimple caught my eye real quick. I am also very interested in seeing or reading about the collection displays. Is that a swivel book type display? Please share more!!!! Thanks

Re: My Padlock collection

Marvelous display of history... and of collecting. Just marvelous! Thanks for sharing Mark!!

I spot me a J.B.M.K.L :) 4th photo down... right next to the German combo lock.
Do you have the combination for it? I don't see a tag hanging from it like the rest.

I see a great many locks I've never seen before. Great stuff. Look forward to more.

Re: My Padlock collection

I take it that American dimple lock is one of them where LSA modified a KABA Micro to fit? Have been wanting to do that myself, but keep getting distracted.

Beautiful part of your collection that you presented here. Thank you.

Re: My Padlock collection

Oldfast, All my locks have working keys or working combos. most of the combos have a paper tag on their back with the combo, and the others have the combo stamped on brass tags.

Gordon, Yeah I copied LSA on that one. Only difference was I was able to turn the KABA cyl. inside of the American barrel to get the key slot aligned with the cyl. retainer plate on the bottom of the lock. viewtopic.php?f=111&t=5639&start=15

Well shucks, lol. Here I thought I'd found both a friend & a lock in need of Oldfast. lol
Another one that caught my eye is what looked to be a Gougler cutaway.
I'll have to eventually do that with one of mine.

40+ years of collecting and restoring locks is not going to fit into one post. lol
So I look forward to seeing more when you decide to take some more photos.
