John: so what's the differences between the 833 and the 951?

Re: nhoj_yelbom's Locks

According to the newly adopted point system by the ANSI, the difference between these two locks is a very slight margine.
With this new system, known as KALPP (Kick Ass Lock Point Program), locks are awarded 'kick-ass points' based on a wide
variety of different tests. These tests are both rigorous and exhaustive, and can be viewed in their full-length-version online.
However, here's just a few of the tests included in the point system:

The length of time it takes, using the lock in question, to beat someone utterly unconscious.

The distance in which the lock can be thrown (under normal conditions).

How many consecutive times the lock can be bench-pressed and/or curled.

In a controlled environment.. A willing participant is forced to stare at the lock
for a period of 9 minutes. During which time, any secreted saliva is collected and measured.

This system includes 73 other tests. Locks are then given a point total out of a possible 100.
The KALPP ratings for these two padlocks are as follows: 833... 96.5 and the 951... 98.
