Re: My locks

good collection of locks you have there, and good job on picking them. threaten the other locks with the cat, it looks like it knows how to mess up a lock or two.

Re: My locks

Kokomo had one of those old warded Yales. I don't remember there being any levers in it, so a skeleton key should work it. If you can get a strong enough T shaped piece of metal to the back you probably pick it open. http://keypicking.com/viewtopic.php?p=18642#p18642

Cool collection. A very respectable pile of picked locks. Which one was the hardest? The MTL, or something less obvious.

Believe it or not.. those 5 pin brinks brass large sized padlocks give me the most trouble. I think i'm gonna cut one open. the MTL was probably one of the easiest locks i've ever picked

The problem is tension, and style of tension.. I've noticed that in order to correctly set the spool pins without them dropping back down I need to either do one of two methods:

1. apply strong enough tension so when you lift the binding spool, it automatically catches the other pins from falling down

or 2. apply light-medium tension and gently "tap" on the binding spool very lightly slowly nudging it up until its caught

using the traditional method of setting spools that I use without fail in other locks just simply doesn't work in these brinks fuckers.
