Just a thought

Not sure if this is the correct section...

I am sure most have heard of love locks which couples attach to bridges with their initials on, apparently some authorities find them a nuisance and costly to remove. So I was thinking why dont they get them removed for free and organize a lock picking competition on the bridges that need clearing. it could become a yearly event :-)

Example .......http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/artic ... s-too.html

I may just email Boris Johnson the London Mayor and bounce the idea off him.
Is this something you would like to take part in if the opportunity arose?

If you will pay airfare to London, I'd be glad to take part!

It sounds like a great opportunity for advancing Locksport.

Just saved me an air fare as apparently this fad has progressed to your state in America, :-)
Just google `love locks`

Just checked. You are right, but still would not decline airfare to London. Or even Edinburgh, for that matter. :D

See mention of a place in Sedona, but you have to buy a lock from their gift shop. :? Guess we could start the fad on the bridge over the Rillito River here in Tucson. But you'd need a very big lock, as it is not chain link or anything else easy to lock onto. You would never have to worry about a boat getting hit by a falling lock, since there is only water in that 'river' for maybe a week (total) each year.
