Hey Guys,

I found this old Miwa Lock still new in it's box after all these years! It's in perfect condition! it comes with everything to install in onto a door, even the original instructions.

I think this core model is known as the "U9".

You guys ever have any experience with these locks? I don't think I ever saw them in the USA.

I found this Youtube video showing a diagram~ looks pretty high security!

Anyone of you guys ever pick one of these?

Wow!

Reminds me of an Ingersoll. Alternating levers to align gates with a sidebar. Nice, would have thought it was warded by the picture.

Also reminds me of the Fichet 666a

Sweet find, Marduk. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the photos Gordon! Great observations with the Ingersoll and the Fichet!

I read somewhere about how someone thought it was similar to an Ingersoll~ now I can see what they were talking about.

This is the first MIWA lock I was able to get a hold of and I am pleasantly surprised. The workmanship is very nice~ Great quality.
