Today i was lucky enough to see the Aubin lock Trophy on display at a local museum.

All that work, all those locks and keys. It is incredible how far some people will go just to secure the spare roll of toilet paper. :mrgreen:

That is such incredible workmanship. I can undstand why it is stored in its' own vault. Looking at his link to the club's article on the piece, you can see that many of those locks are two centuries old!

Just Awesome. Youtube video isn't that informative, but shows the basic design. I've never seen this before.
Pretty cool!!! I actually have a padlock marked Aubin, it's pretty large and doesn't have a key yet. I haven't found anything about it anywhere. Perhaps it's rare? :drool:

Mid 1800s is like the heyday of overly complicated and ornate machinery, which made for some really awe inspiring objects! I'd love to be able to go and see this thing in person, it is so bloody cool! I've seen pics of it before as well, but it never ceases to amaze
