I recently bought this lock and I haven’t been able to find anything out about it doesn’t appear to be old but it’s cool.

Neat, I haven't seen one of those. Where did you find it?

Looks to be a company from Taiwan, I mostly found commercial door accessories and push button locks. If I find reference to that lock I'll update.

I bought it from one of those building repurposing places I think I paid $4 for it.

I have seen a number of steering wheel locks that use a key similar to that, but never a padlock.

Well, I just found a bit of interesting info. I was skimming through High Security Mechanical Locks: An Encyclopedic Reference by Graham Pulford and I came across the YBU lock from Japan on page 137. It has a SB key like that except with a metal head instead of a plastic one. The logo and dots on key head are the exact same.

Hopefully that gives you a good lead.
