Blanks for old Corbin padlock needed !!!

I need key blanks for an old Corbin padlock.

I have a friend who could impression those for me but need the blanks. Since I have no idea where to get those here in Germany I thought I'd ask you. Or do you think my locksmith should have those? He mainly has German stuff.

Thanks for the help :)

I 'might' have something that will fit. I will check when I get home tonight.

Wow, that is a very unique looking padlock. Where did you get it? Have you picked on it?

A CO88 or CO89 might pass the warding in the keyway. I was thinking 1001AB/CO6.

Looks like this may be a Master Ring Cylinder, based on the apparent size.

Re: Blanks for old Corbin padlock needed !!!

Hey xeo, I traded this lock with a picker here in Germany for some German stuff!

The Lock has steel balls on top of the pins so it was probably a frequently used padlock. The first pin appears deep in the keyway after 8.00 mm. The keway or lets say the part where the key will be inserted into measures 8.80 mm from top to bottom.

Yeah it definitely does, would that make it easier or harder to impression?

Re: Blanks for old Corbin padlock needed !!!

A master ring cylinder operates on one of two separate shear lines. That means that you can't tell if your impression marks will be coming from pins bound at the opeerating shear line, or at the master ring shear line. It may be harder; but certainly not impossible to impression a key. The balls, on the other hand, may give you quite a challenge.
