Birmingham uk, patent 1846 rare cotterill padlock they made locks for safes also and where used on many safes, the design was changed over the years with differing patents, but they were derived from the bramah originally.

The pdf pages 6 to 10 show how the lock looks with radial slides unlike the bramah, also the date can be determined by the stamped key.. A for 1846 and so on.

So as anyone got a idea of how you would reset this lock when the crescent half moon detector as been triped with overpicking the radial slide bars.
thermite and a mag drill are out as these were not around back then.

I have had a idea as to the tool to use on picking this lock dont know if it would work but a key with all the groves cut down to the lowest cut running the full lenght,then run a pick down the grove to get to the sliders one at a time with tention may just do it..as the radial sliders only have a limited movement.
A set of different gauge wires or slightly angled or slanted shims also inserted in the groves for every slider may work better, the sliders can not slip back as they are spring loaded.. and all kept in place with a rubber band.

You just have to wait; detumescence shortly follows climax but it could be hastened with the flick of a chilled dessert spoon.

Another climax lock that sold on ebay not long after had to be relisted as the winning bidder was fraudulent, as i understood it the seller was sent a message saying send the lock its been payed for..that was bullshit..so beware
