"Misono High Class Hand Safe" or is it?

I picked up this cash/strong box a while back and was told it was a Misono High Class Hand Safe made in Japan. It measures 13cm x 26cm x 36cm.
Can someone please tell me whether this is true or not?
Sadly it is locked and I have no key, does anyone have any experience in opening these old boxes?
Thanks, Mick.

Nice find! I've never seen one; But if you send it to me, I can figure it out and send it back! (My promise is more trustworthy than those of our unnamed politicians!!)

Very nice find~

It does look like a Japanese cash box, probably around early Shōwa period (1930s-40s). I think there are a multitude of manufacturers making similar cash box. From the photos it seems a metal plate was missing from the lid (see the rivet holes), otherwise should provide more info.

The combination locks are quite unique though... instead of single number combination of most other boxes, the locks on this box have a "clock-face" - two numbers for each combination lock?

As you can see from photos below (grabbed from web), many have the manufacturer's name engraved on the metal plate...

Thanks for the offer (I trust you ) I'm afraid that postage will be more than the box is worth.
Also the box has a built in alarm ,if you tip it up a bell rings inside. It sounds like the bell moves down a rod ringing as it goes.
Cheers Mick

I would love to see the box open too, but postage will be to hard on the pocket.
