This is a great deal, I know a similar tool (The Dix Pick) sells for $100!

seems that it would be difficult if not impossible to random ly set the pins and get an open with the Dix pix or even yours. I believe your method of measuring the gates and then setting the tool to the correct depth is the way to go but haven't put any time into it yet. I purchased another "Champion" pancake w/key but of course I wasn't lucky enough to have that key work in the original. another project on the list/back burner after I try to impression the pile of keyless locks I have now.

Posted: Mon Mar 30, 2015 9:35 pmSo, I have been wanting to make an all stainless steel version of my Champion decoder tool. Wow! Slainless is hard to machine but, I got it right. The needles are stainless steel too (spring temper). I bought a rod of stainless bar stock and 50, 1 foot needles.
This tool is truly one of a kind.
