Customer brings me a Model A or T steering wheel lock and wants me to make a key for it. No hurry. I have never worked on a vehicle lock this old. I picked it open and removed the cylinder. The plug can only come out from the front and a follower can't be used. Getting the springs and top pins back in will be a PITA. Any suggestions??.........Thanks to Jeff Moss for pointing out the keyway will take a Sargent F258BF, Ilco 1010B blank.

front loading shoe? same as a euro lock. if you need to change a driver pin or spring it'll be more of a pain, but i'd thing a euro pinning tool and a hollow follower with some tweezers and a pointy probe tool should do it

I would suggest posting on the www.antique-locks.com forum - someone there has most likely worked on one :)
