This is a lock i just got which makes our job much easier

My guess is that the little hole roughly 2 o'clock clockwise from the keyhole is such that you can put a pin, pick, wrench or needle in and press in some kind of button to allow the lock to turn freely, negating the need to pick it :D

Hmm... Is it a core change modification? Unlock, turn the core to that position and pull it out for easy repinning?

Nice. Reminds me of an Almont Re-Key padlock, but I've never seen this in a door cylinder before.
