swiss bank money box

In Switzerland you can found many of this old bank money boxes.
But there are no keys. Only the banks had keys. But not anymore.
I want to make something to open easily all boxes.
Some ideas?

This money boxes manufactured by "Bauer AG Geldschrank-Fabrik Zürich 6".
The founder of KABA.

Here some pictures:

Nice locks...you should be able to make a key since you have the lock open and apart.
Good luck....

Very nice! Where were they actually used? They seem like change boxes but the bank had keys... Some kind of low-value safety deposit box thing? Or tips jars for the bank? :D
Either way, awesome stuff. Lever locks too!

My guess is they were coin banks given away to customers. Nicely made, and easily impressioned.

Yep you guessed it Gordon! The bank would give you one if you had an account with them. The idea was to bring it in when it is full, the teller would open it, and deposit it all in your account. Basically a way to force you to save, and a way to give them the business.
