Corbin 6 lever padlock

Here is a padlock about 90 years old that my wife bought for me. It had no key when I got it but I was able to make a key that fits well.

Great job. Was it open when you got it?
macgng; it's completely unnecessary to have ~15$ in keys for a 50¢ lock ... but we all do it anyway :P

Is your key a three piece design or two? Describe the process you used to make the key. The bitting has nice symmetry.

Re: Corbin 6 lever padlock

The key is a barrel type that originally had a flat blade on one side. I used impressioning techniques to get the bitting for that side. Then I soldered on some metal to the other side of the barrel and cut it to match. A bit more filing and I had a good working key.
