Old PO mailbox doors

Got these today at yet another on-line auction. I think they are pre-WWII but not sure. Correct me if I'm wrong. Figured out combos for 2 of them but guts in the others are binding, probably due to years of neglect and buildup of dirt. The lock has 3 wheels with driver in back. The lock cover is held on by 3 tiny screws and 3 rivets that are peened. I'd like to get covers off to clean but filing down the peened section would prevent proper seating of cover. Suggestions?? Anyone.....anyone. ttachment=0]DSCI0225.JPG[/attachment]
