No, there are many cheaply built houses being made. Some have wood siding, and some are made with stucco. With the stucco construction, a simple wood frame is made, a weatherproof membrane is added, a styrofoam panel, a wire mesh is stapled to the foam, and the stucco (which is a cement product) is spread over the wire mesh in several layers. I have seen houses where you could push a pencil through the stucco.

Wow Rai, that looks cool.
Though if I had the option of using stuff like that I would opt for a small explosive. That would be even more effective I presume.

Gordon: that sounds awful. How long does such a house last?
If the walls are so weak you can easily put a hole in the wall accidentally.
I always wondered how could hurricanes make houses literally disappear. Now I know.

I would say there is not much point in putting a mega secure lock on the door if they can get in within 5 minutes though a back wall. :D
But at least I would imagine those houses are cheap.
And after all they are much better than no house :D
Though I find it a reassuring thought that the walls around me are made of bricks and iron reinforced concrete.
To infinity... and beyond!
