I am picking this Sargent Signature Series KIK and I get it into what feels like a false-set, except no pin creates counter-rotation. Is there something i can do to open this bad boy????

it looks like it has side pins of some sort... if they are passive make sure your pick or tensor are not in their way... if they are active...pick them lol
Re: Sargent Signature Series KIK
How deep of a false set? Most Sargents that I have picked didn't have securities, but I'm sure some out there do. If it is a deep false set have you tried manually rotating the lock back towards 12 o'clock (without letting the pins drop) then seeing if you can get counter-rotation?
Naaapaalm...sticks to kids...it sticks to the belly and it sticks to the ribs...
See those kids standing by the lake...drop some napalm and watch them bake.

It's probably locked into a false set on the side pins. Yes they are active, the sidebars themselves are pointing down towards the bottom of the lock (one sidebar on each side of the keyway, so two of them). Each of those sidebar pins can have one false gate. And they can lock up similar to the way an Assa 6000 sidebar locks up.
The regular pins are most likely just standard non-security pins.

Also, once you have picked it once. It will turn 20ish degrees and one of the sidebars will lock up again. This is because there are two sidebar grooves, so you will need to re-pick one of the sidebars pins a second time, and yet a third time to get it back to neutral.

Well, you and LSA are the lucky ones. I am going to keep a few to practice with so you guys might be the only ones a give a lock too. I paid $10 each for them, so w/ shipping it will be around $15. Let me know if you still want em.
