Hey guys! This isn't a big deal, but since it's the first one I came accross, I think you'll like to see it.

A while ago I got a Smart ignition from a friend. Yesterday I got a key made for it and cleaned it a little (not perfect, but good enough  )

Here it is with the plug removed:

This lock, not being attached to anything, has a loose plug (no pun intended  ), as it comes out just by turning it upside down.
On the second image you see a little lever, it's the piece that holds the plug in place when installed in a car, but still let's it rotate if not fully pressed (I believe that has to do with how the lock interacts with the housing itself, but not sure).

Anyway, it's a 7wafer (4top/3down) lock with serrated wafer AND countermilled plug

Not the easiest to pick, but pickable, the feedback isn't very clear on this one :???:
Hope you guys enjoy it!

Well this is a take out from a wrecked car. A friend of mine works at a mechanic's shop that deals almost exclusively with smarts. Some times he can find take outs that his boss throws away!

Wow.... interesting guts. Serrated wafers? Counter-milling? Very cool.

Kind of a fun pick I'd imagine? Bet ya weren't expecting those features. lol

Oh I wasn't!
After a good while of unsuccessfull picking I gutted it and looked at the wafers. Then I looked at the plug

Then I picked it
But still gives me a hard time. For some reason the feedback isn't as reliable as serrated pins :???:
