school me on this one please.
I see no master spacers in the pin stacks, so how is it master keyed?
Or is "master" just part of its name and not necessairly master keyed?

This is a Master Ring Cylinder. All the individual keying is done on the plug. There's an extra ring, very similar to a control sleeve on an IC, in which all the master keying is done.

They were made to accomodate very large facilities or corporate master key systems, by allowing single step progression in the change keys.
