Ingersoll CS700 picked!

I simply love the lock!
The whole look of it.
Massive but still some piece of art

Sadly I am not able to get the cylinder out of it. The screws are so damn tight.
I thought I'll never pick this one. I got a special pile for all those locks.
But from time to time I just grab one out of this pile ... and now it is picked :fu:

Re: Ingersoll CS700 picked!

I hope to pick mine on cam anytime soon but I am a little scared of locking it back up
The lock seems to be easier to pick of it gets tensioned quite a lot.
I wonder why there are no fakes in the levers.
That would make it even so much harder.

Re: Ingersoll CS700 picked!

you da man! BEAUTIFUL lock...never seen one.

I love those locks that ya just can't seem to pick. When that plug finally turns my stomach literally takes a loop like I just hit the top of a hill on a roller-coaster! If you don't pick....you'd never understand. Nice job, thanks for sharing.

Re: Ingersoll CS700 picked!

I'm very impressed. I've always wanted to get one of those locks. Although even if I did, I seriously doubt I'd ever be able to pick it. My hat is off to you and your skill.

If anyone would like some more information on them, NDE Magazine had an article in issue number three with a breakdown of one of these types of locks, and for the very bold, issue number four has a guide for those who want to try their hand at picking them.

Re: Ingersoll CS700 picked!

It is done!

"For picking it use a little more tension constantly. The levers have to fakes so no need for reducing tension. It helps to check if levers are set repeadiatly. Sometimes they are not totally set. Always push the binding lever just as you do when picking regular pin tumbler locks. The process is well defined and just takes some time."

Really not that hard. Probably no one of you really tried so far. Just takes some time.

Cheers
