First Manipulation...Sentry safe UNLOCKED!

nice job! I used the same method on my sentry. Been meaning to post but getting ready to move.. Mine is an s0310 model with tubular lock. on mine the false gates and real one on driver are all the same width. They will all allow bolt to contact wheels. I usually go awl as second number indicates best and i dont have to compensate for fixed pin. then using that gate brute force next one till i see a good drop on needle. Sometimes if i am using the right driver gate it just pops . if not once i see a big drop i know i have first two so i just walk it through driver gates without redialing first two numbers. i have been won dering about using a laser pointer instead of wire . i dont know how many times i bumped my wire lol . or at least a needle that wont bend. Also a good bypass for the s0310 is through the tubular lock. the retaining clip is on the front of the safe under plastic at 6 oclock position pry plastic and remove with needle nose. remove lock .there is a relocker which is easy to press down. then you could manipulate or scope the wheel pack . Ive done this with no damage at all to mine. Maybe after i move ill try laser pointer....... Again Really good job. Its kinda of tedious to manipulate direct entry safes.

A LASER POINTER!!!
That is fu*king BRILLIANT!!!
You can have it pointing at the ceiling or all the way across the room!
AWESOME Idea!

Talk about magnifying your readings! Instead of 3-4 inches of magnification, or even 8-10, 6-12 feet (2.5-3 meters) of magnification would show even minor differences in readings show up very clearly. Just don't use a marker on the customer's ceiling to mark your points.

I agree!! That sounds like a very promising idea!
Well, not marking the wall or ceiling... but the laser idea. lol

The laser pointer thing is genius....
Re: First Manipulation...Sentry safe UNLOCKED!
Just re-read this article. In addition to being skilled at manipulation, you are quite skilled in story telling. Very well written article. Exciting!

Hehe...thanks Rick. I'm actually MUCH better at telling stories than I am manipulation!
I have an amazing grasp of the obvious. Beyond that, not so much.

Like your avatar, mikeh. My son saw it and cracked up.

Re: First Manipulation...Sentry safe UNLOCKED!
how were you able to determine the contact points on the drive cam? by pulling down on the lever and taking note of where the dial locked up as you turned it?
Re: First Manipulation...Sentry safe UNLOCKED!
There are no contact points...just highs and lows on the wheel pack. Yes, dial to the location you want to test, pull the handle, and measure the deflection. That's all you can do with these since they don't have contact points.

Re: First Manipulation...Sentry safe UNLOCKED!
are you supposed to pull up on the handle? or down on the handle?
Re: First Manipulation...Sentry safe UNLOCKED!
Turn the handle whichever direction you would normally turn it to open the safe, then check the deflection.

Great post totally enjoyed it I don't
Spend much time on these spin all wheels
Left until it locks up as u did and look
For large amounts of movement which
Is true gate on wheel 3 which is the largest wheel
Takes about 5 mins then enter into a program
And it give me the code it could be 10/20 combos
The older u get the more lazy I get lol

Also no need to run every 2.5 numbers you
Can run in 5's and you will still hit the gate
They are about five numbers wide it brings
It down to 25 perms per wheel hope this helps

Re: First Manipulation...Sentry safe UNLOCKED!
Worked out a method years ago don't know
If it still works by someone giving me the las number
The largest wheel I could tell u the other two numbers
So collecting codes does help so you are on the
Right track sorry to be a pain what was the model of the sentry safe thanks
