Mark Bates Manipulation Classes? Others?

I'm thinking about finding some formal training and I was wondering if anyone has been to/seen a review of the Mark Bates MBAusa classes?

http://www.mbausa.com/courseSchedules.asp

He has a Comprehensive Safe Lock Manipulation course listed for April and November. Price--$795. I might be able to justify this as a combined birthday and Xmas gift, but my powers of MANIPULATION will be put to the test

Can anyone recommend other manipulation training (available to a cheesedick hobbyist, not a professional)? I am mostly interested in progressing beyond the basics of Group II and getting into 2M locks....

Aren't you like right next door to SAVTA? (ALOA)

I wouldn't be so eager to tell them it's just a hobby, take a professional approach to it, although I haven't been so I can't tell you the atmosphere for sure, I know some of the best came from, and go there.

PM if you have any questions.

Edit: It's okay to be somebody who wants to learn on a professional level, but has no backround, that is the whole reason for the class, and nobody is going to shun you because, you just like doing it. Maybe you'll be a Safe Tech, maybe you'll be an astronaut. Whatever you want cheesedick :)

 haha, loved the response, toronto. Thanks for the input.

I honestly didn't know about SAVTA. Yes, it appears to be close!

Going only by the small amount I've seen from Mark Bates....
I'm been very impressed & feel he's a genius in his own right.
I think that'd be insanely awesome for you if you do that Trevor!

Daggers mentioned a group 1 safe lock manipulation course here.
Maybe check with him to see which course he was eluding to?

There are two I was looking at; one from mbausa and the other from lsi. There's this from lsi: http://www.lsieducation.com/courses/group_1.html but then they chagned the normal course on manipulation to include group 1's and the new one is http://www.lsieducation.com/courses/com ... ation.html and it looks pretty good! The one from mbausa is http://www.mbausa.com/course_92.asp?e=1 and it looks WAY more comprehensive and better bang for your buck! But I couldn't find it on their schedule! It says offered by request on their site at this link: http://www.mbausa.com/courseSchedules.asp . I'm REALLY interested in learning how to manipulate group 1's! I'm sure if I bought some I would be able to figure out on my own but it would be a better benefit to learn tried and tested methods and then try to adapt them to maximize efficiency. Let me know if you take a course on it :) I would be very interested in seeing how the cost vs benefit of the class is
