I've googled hinges for safes and haven't had much luck. It would be internal hinges the holes are 2 1/2" apart . Thank you..

The hinges need to be on the outside to allow for the thickness of the door to swing into the jamb. An internal hinge would have to be U-shaped and recessed into the jamb in order to swing around the external part of the hinge side of the jamb for the door to clear.
Some of the hinges on lockmasters would work well. The challenge will be to find one the correct length. If is is shorter it will leave gaps at each end. The gaps could be filled with steel strap welded in. Then fabricate a frame/jamb to fit.
Another option would be to use a set of the Lefebure hinges from that site.
They would require a notch to be cut at each corner of the door. Either hinge will require drilling the door but that is easier than building a hinge. An alternative to building a wall safe is to make a wall mount display. I did this with a LeFebure door I was given by a friend and it makes for a nice conversation piece. You can also display the combo and have your friends try to dial and open it. Here are a couple pictures of that project. You can see how that style of hinge mounts. A couple of the hinges from lockmasters with filling the gaps would be the easiest. Make sure the hinge is made for your door thickness.

They buy out a lot of old bank stuff and if you have some dimensional info and pics they might be able to help.
Real nice people to deal with.
