S&G 6430, 6435

I can only find the standard marketing photo which doesn't show much of the internals due to the wheel pack holder and is probably a 6500. How do these locks work? I assume they have manipulation protection mechanism which also the smaller locks have, e.g. the 6630, 8400, 8500.

PS: The spindle threading or dial compatibility would be also interesting.

Re: S&G 6430, 6435

I have a 6530 style lock which is just Group 2, of which I could do a break down of for you, or mail you the lock (you just pay shipping)

The 6430 is Group 2M, while the 6435 is Group 1. I am not sure what else they included to make manipulation or reading contact points more difficult.

Some part numbers you may already be familiar with:

Part Number Material Description
6430-002 Group 2M, Square Bolt, Right-hand lock, Direct Drive
6430-003 Group 2M, Square Bolt, Left-hand lock, Direct Drive
6430-004 Group 2M, Center Extension, right-hand lock, Direct Drive
6430-005 Gropu 2M, Center Extension, left-hand lock, Direct Drive
6435-003 Group 1, Square Bolt, Right-hand Lock, Indirect Drive
6435-004 Group 1, Square Bolt, Left-hand lock, indirect drive
6435-005 Group 1, Center Extension, Right-hand lock, indirect drive
6435-006 Group 1, Center Extension, left-hand lock, indirect drive
6435-008 Group 1, Roller Bolt, left-hand lock, indirect drive
6435-009 Group 1, Upper Extension, right-hand, indirect drive
6530-001 Group 2, Center Extension, Reversible, Direct Drive
6530-002 Group 2, Roller Bolt, Reversible, Direct Drive
6530-003 Group 2, Square Bolt, Reversible, Direct Drive
6535-002 Group 2, Roller Bolt, Reversible, Indirect Drive
6535-005 Group 2, Upper Extension, Reversible, Indirect Drive
6535-007 Group 2, Center Extension, Reversible, Indirect Drive
6535-010 Group 2, Square Bolt, Reversible, Indirect Drive

Re: S&G 6430, 6435

I found this links with photos from a 6535 just as I wrote this posting: http://s1143.photobucket.com/user/Riyam ... t=3&page=1

That is why I didn't include it here in my question. But even with these photos I would be interested in one, if you could separate from it ...

There is only one dial for all vault locks. So special features like in the 8400 and 8500 are not possible. Group 2M could possibly be something like the false gates and the nose roller in the 6630, but Group 1 must be something the magic module locks don't have.

Re: S&G 6430, 6435

Actually it is quite difficult to find stuff from the US on German ebay. It seems ebay somehow translates the English text to German and then compares the translation with my search string. At least if I search for "combination lock" it won't find anything which contains "combination lock". Maybe it translates "combination lock" to German "Verbindung Schloss" (="connection lock") or whatever.

Re: S&G 6430, 6435

Mad Samurai, thank you for pointing me to ebay. I just found there a second-hand new 6435 (last of two) for a quarter of the price of a first-hand new 6435 as Buy Now. I will let you know how it works when I have it.

Squelchtone, unless this transaction is somehow fraud I won't need to proceed on your generous offer. Thank you!
