I bought this safe a couple of weeks ago for $50 and wanted to know if anyone could help identify it for me. Yes, it came without a combination.

It has a Yale dial, and dimensions are about 24" wide, 24" deep, and 36" tall. It is on a wooden base with casters that did not stand up to the test of time.

I've found and read the books by Matt Blaze and Jared Dygert, but haven't had too much time to work on opening it.

Only a guess but I think it looks like a Diebold jewelers chest.
