Now don't all shout out at once, but WHOOO can tell me the cheapest (&,owing to coronary inducing postage from overseas,preferably UK based -)- places to get a bog standard safe that i can swap out the lock on and mount my group 1&2 mechanical safelocks onto?

Or even just an idea of what make and model such a donor safe IS would help too tbf..

Scrap yards have safes you can often buy a full box or door from.
Local post office or super market notice boards also often have safes on for cheap if you move them.
If you want brand new then there's nothing really cheap, maybe mocking up a door from a sheet of wood painted up would be lighter and easier to work with.
I like to mount practice locks in or on a nice block of wood but they soon start taking up a lot of space.

There are suitable safes from the Polish company ISS. http://iss.net.pl/products,aalen,33000 (7kg) (Edit: Hm, on some photos it looks like a non-standard lock.) and http://iss.net.pl/products,alsfeld,33200 (10kg) should do. Maybe you can get then somewhere in UK.

I don't know what is available in UK. An EN1300 certified lock is a good indication, but not sufficient. There are some proprietary locks which are certified, e.g. the dormakaba Mauer Centurion and Tricontus and the SECU S1000. Locking bolts at the top and bottom of the door and no handle is a bad sign. The option to replace the key lock with other locks is a good sign.
