Maybe I should have mentioned that it just for manipulation and not real use. I have bought some time ago a cheap direct entry fence lock. I have here a wooden board, which might be to thick at the moment for that lock but can be made thinner. I have some stainless steel sheet and rod.

One L-bracket as fence and one has handle? Yes, why not.

in that case they make plain premade boxes that are not finished , cheap, any ornamental shop or Industrial metal suppy should have. fasten any way you wish
