Recently acquired----unknown safe

This safe was listed on Mpls CL last week.It was listed for $35 and locked, no combo. It had been listed for 22 minutes when I saw it. I called my son and had him email the seller. I also told my son to offer $50, which he did. My son works in the TC suburbs and knows how to navigate the roads much better than me. I knew the safe would be snatched up quickly so that's the reason for the higher offer. A day later my son got an email from the seller and he agreed to sell it to him. He said he received over 100 email inquiries of the safe. The higher offer plus the fact my son said he would need very little, if any help from the seller to load the safe was the reason my son got it. Even with rounded door corners I don't think it is a Diebold. I think it has the Yale 225 lock. Dial nose not removable. Your thoughts......

Based on the Round Body and door corners, plus the T-handle, Wheels, Hinges and Yale dial.. I believe it is a Baum,.. only about 80% sure on that..

Here is a similar one, This one shows Victor, but I think it is label wrong ..

Here is one that is a Baum, The hinge pins are different than yours..

Either way it is a beauty.. Look up The National Locksmith Guide to Manipulation, Pg 65 (Actual not Page) if you don't have the combination for it.

I first thought it may be a Victor but dismissed that because I still think the lock is a 225. Victor's with handles still used the L2. I do think it now may be the Baum. Hinge caps/finials are different but the hinges are the same. Also, there is letter/numbers stamped on the handle nose, much like the Baum. I think you may have solved it. Anyone else??
Now after seeing the Norris I'm wondering....did Baum absorb Norris, or did Norris absorb Baum....or what. Both Baum and Norris look uncannily like the safe I have, with the Norris having a similar dial.

I wonder if it's the same Norris from Ely-Norris cannonball safe fame or is Norris just the safe sales company.

I wish I could bring myself to buy the McOmie book you mention on the imgur post. It is not my job, so the price is hard to shell out.

My understanding is they are one and the same.

After much research of McOmie's books, articles, etc, and old pal Google, I've come to the conclusion that the Yale 225 probably was not used on Baum safes. All Baum safes in Dave's writings and numerous articles used their own version of the OB lock. Please comment if anyone believes I may be wrong.
