Edit: (I would have assume that Discovery would manage to pull this video after five years, but anyway ...) On youtube is a video where World Champion Safecracker Jeff Sitar Cracks Bank Vault in 5 Minutes by Touch.

He opens the (I asume) 6730 in under 5 minutes. This is quicker than anything I saw so far and the spinning doesn't look that quick. From another movie on youtube I get the impression that Jeff is a skilled and nice guy. My opinion on producers of such documentaries is not as good. So my question is why did it only take 5 minutes? Luck? Does Jeff use an information channel from the lock we do not know/use? Is this manipulated by the documentary producers to get more impressive numbers?

Jeff Sittar is the real deal.

Google for Jeff Sittar or go to his web page

By the way the youtube link may be a copyright violation if that is a concern for you.

Discovery Channel show More Than Human is a copyrighted show

Some of it is luck. I have spun a 6730 open in just over 8 minutes and I am not even experienced yet. I have had quite a few sub 30 minute openings and two sub 10 minute openings. It can be done that quickly. Oldfast has a video of him cracking a Cole lock in like 3:01. It can be done. Luck is definitely a factor.

A link is and can not be a violation, as it is like pointing with a finger at something and telling what is there. The only one responsible would be the uploader or Youtube.

And no, a site owner can not forbid linking to his/her site.

You are quite right Jaakko.

The link it's self is not a copyright violation. The content that the link points to however is from Discovery Channel's "More than Human".

There is an interesting story in the LA Time about Jeff and his skills. http://articles.latimes.com/2001/aug/19/news/mn-35787
