My first cutaway

This is my intro post and showing off my newest cutaway that I made (my first cutaway!).

I'm Rory, I'm the President of Augusta Locksports in Augusta, GA. I've been picking locks for about 15 years now but I didn't really get into it until recently when I started up the locksport group in our area. I've got a nice group of interested individuals and we are learning some really cool things. So I found a nice lot of Sargent & Greenleaf 6700 series locks and wanted to make one of them a cutaway to show off in the group. I didn't take any progress shots but if I can get my hands on a couple more I will make sure to do so in the future. In the mean time, here's a picture of the lock mounted.

Re: My first cutaway

Very nicely done!!!
I really like the lexane/lucite clear plastic rear cover
provides just the right amount of protection and visability,
Your machine work is beautiful as well!!

I just made my own cutaway
my machine work was really pretty bad (but it works)
moving so my tools in transit so I used a hacksaw <BG>

I plan on cleaning it up and adding a clear cover similar to yours.
but as a tip you can get a huge variety of some nice free laminate flooring samples
from HomeDepot. get the S&E template Add a couple screws and there ya go

Good spinning

Nice job, Rory. BTW, a longshot, but does a bar by the name 'the whipping post' still exist in Augusta? just reminiscing of times gone by while putting time in at Ft. Gordon.
