would anyone know of any current schematics for a 3D printed safe lock as I have a friend with a 3D printed and want to see how it'd turn out for use as a manipulation training aid.

I know Anarchy_won has a printable safe lock design. Not sure if he made it or found it somewhere.

I have one that AW printed for me. It would not feel at all like a safe lock for manipulation, but you could use it as a visual aid to show the fence, wheels and gates.
Shipping would be a killer to the land of Oz, but for the right trade incentive, I might be convinced to trade a real safe lock. Problem is that a safe lock with the dial would not fit in a small flat-rate box. So shipping would likely be around $65-$70, plus the lock, so the incentive would have to be strong.

Just when you think you've learned it all, that is when you find you haven't learned anything yet.

this is the one I printed for GW http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047 it was cool but I do not think it will help much with manipulation practice just get a cutaway safe lock or even just a safe lock to practice on.
