I have been posting on and off about this deposit safe i have been trying to open and well i finally did it!!! Best feeling ever!!! Decided to start fresh again and instead i decided to graph by hand, first graph was all wheels left, checked right contact only. points of interest were 20 - 25, 62.5 - 70, and 92.5 - 0. high, low test confirmed L65 on wheel 3, next i spun all right and parked wheel 3 left to 65 for each contact, 95 was a definite gate, high low confirmed wheel 2 to be 95, with only an 8th difference in contact area!, so i knew ? - 95 - 65, brute forced over 0 - 25 since graph showed low dips, nothing, 35 - 40 i noticed an 8th incriment dip at 37.5, so i tried 37.5 - 95 - 65 and nothing, so went to 40 and it opened!!! 40 - 95 - 65, dispite the sargent and greenleaf dial it is a group 2 LaGard.

Re: Finally manipulated my first safe!!!
I can't believe the first number was hiding in an 8th increment low spot, I almost missed it!
Re: Finally manipulated my first safe!!!
Fantastic!
Re: Finally manipulated my first safe!!!
I just took a look back at my previous attempt and i had all the same information that led me to the first number, and i missed it!
Re: Finally manipulated my first safe!!!
I might also add that it is a LaGard 1548, and after opening i took the lock apart and examined it, almost no play in the drive cam, all wheels are tight to their spines, no parts appear damaged or heavily worn, although the bushing for the dial shaft is missing, that explains why the dial feels so sloppy, probably also made my first manipulation a bit tougher!
Re: Finally manipulated my first safe!!!
Congrats for your success! Your graphs look good, but most important, were useful for you to open the lock.
As you noticed, looking at an older graph after having made a new one, may reveal something new. Always examine all your graphs together.
Cheers

It is an awesome feeling! I can't wait to do it again!
Re: Finally manipulated my first safe!!!
I went back and looked at your first graphs in your original thread.
You can see both 65 and 95 as being areas of interest.
Funny how Hind sight is 20/20.
Keep us informed on how you make out with your new locks.

Re: Finally manipulated my first safe!!!
I will, and what made me even more mad was in the attempt right before I opened it, I tried a combination with only one number 3 digits away from what opened the lock...
